his captivity at Special Camp 11 at Bridgend, Vizeadmiral Krastel was
considered for the role of camp intermediate-level teacher of the English
language lessons and other educational classes offered to the prisoners.
A period British report assessed his qualifications for this role: "Not
fluent but has good knowledge of English for Intermediate pupils. He is
more 'Hawk-like' and it is presumed that his classes entail much discipline."
Vizeadmiral Bruno Machens was ultimately selected as the camp intermediate-level
teacher.]
